Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Adapted from All Recipes - Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Ready in 20 minutes

Makes 8 servings


  • 200g flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 300ml warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter


  1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  2. Make a well in the center and pour in the warm milk, egg and melted butter.
  3. Slightly mix all the ingredients until a smooth batter is formed.
  4. Heat up some butter in a frying pan and pour the batter, using approximately 1/4 cup (1/2 ladle) for each pancake.
  5. Flip it when lots of tiny bubbles appear in the center of the pancake.
  6. Look for nice browning around the edges and serve them hot.
  7. Enjoy!
